About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Craze, Inc. ("Craze," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects information when you use the Craze mobile application and related services.
Craze is an adults-only dating service. By using Craze, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the service.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Craze, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and profile information — name, date of birth, email address, phone number, profile photos, and answers to profile and preference questions.
- Dating and communication information — matches, messages you send or receive, profile interactions, reports, blocks, and other information you provide through the service.
- Verification information — information needed to verify identity, employment, or education, including government ID images, work email domain information, and information obtained from LinkedIn when you use those verification features.
- Location information — device location only when you grant the relevant permission, to show distance to other members and suggest nearby meeting spots.
- Device and usage information — information about how you use the app, such as session length, feature engagement, diagnostics, and technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
- Support and safety information — information you provide when contacting support, reporting another user, or participating in a safety investigation.
How we use information
- Provide the service — create and maintain accounts, display profiles, generate matches, and deliver messages.
- Safety and trust — verify identity or employment, detect fraud and abuse, enforce our rules, investigate reports, and protect users.
- Operate and improve Craze — understand feature usage, troubleshoot problems, maintain reliability, and improve the product.
- Communicate with you — send account, security, service, and match-related messages and, where permitted and where you have opted in, marketing communications.
- Comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful requests and meet applicable legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
Verification data
Verification is part of Craze's trust and safety features. Government ID images are processed to confirm authenticity and are not displayed to other members. Work email domain and LinkedIn information used for verification are used to confirm your employer and are stored separately from your public profile.
Verification documents are not intended to remain in your public profile. Where applicable, you may request deletion of verification documents after verification. A verification badge may remain after document deletion if necessary to preserve the status of a completed verification, subject to our verification practices and applicable law.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information only as described below:
- Service providers — hosting, cloud infrastructure, identity verification, customer support, security, and analytics providers that process information on our behalf and are contractually restricted in their use of it.
- Other users — information you choose to make part of your dating profile or send to another member may be visible to those users. Private verification documents are not shown to other members.
- Legal and safety purposes — regulators, law enforcement, courts, or other parties when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or our rights.
- Business transfers — information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate privacy protections.
Third-party SDKs and service providers used by the app may process information according to their own privacy notices and our instructions. Our Google Play Data safety disclosures are intended to reflect the actual data practices of the app and its SDKs.
Permissions and consent
Craze requests device permissions only when they are needed for a feature. For example, location access is requested before location information is collected for location-based features. You can deny or later revoke permissions through your device settings, although some features may not work without them.
Where applicable, we provide additional in-app disclosures and obtain affirmative consent before collecting or using personal or sensitive information in ways that may not be reasonably expected from the feature being used.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Information transmitted by the app is protected using modern encryption in transit. Sensitive verification information is subject to additional access controls.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You should use a strong, unique password and promptly report suspected account compromise or safety issues.
Data retention
We retain account and profile information while your account remains active and retain other information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, and legal compliance.
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal information within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days, except for information we are legally required or otherwise permitted to retain, such as records necessary for an active safety investigation, fraud prevention, security, or legal obligation.
Account and data deletion
If you created a Craze account, you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data. Craze provides an in-app account deletion path through the account/settings area.
You can also submit a deletion request through our account deletion request form: Craze Account Deletion Request . We may ask for reasonable information to verify the request and protect against fraudulent deletion requests.
Deleting your account is different from temporarily hiding or freezing your profile. Account deletion is intended to remove the personal data associated with the account, subject to the retention exceptions described above.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also be able to manage permissions, communications, and certain profile information from within the app.

Children and age restrictions
Craze is an adults-only dating service and is not directed to children. Users under the minimum age permitted by Craze and applicable law are not allowed to create or use accounts. We use age-gating and other safeguards intended to prevent minors from accessing the dating service.
If we learn that an account belongs to a person who is not permitted to use Craze, we will take appropriate action, which may include removing the account and associated data as required by applicable law.
Child safety
Craze prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual exploitation of minors, and other conduct that endangers children. We investigate reports of suspected child exploitation, remove prohibited content or accounts, and cooperate with appropriate authorities when legally required.

Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, data practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy on this page and, where required, provide additional notice such as an in-app notice or email before material changes take effect.
